Under the patronage of Dr. Khaled Abdul-Ghaffar, Dean of Faculty of Medicine and General Supervisor of Medical Service Centre, Imam Mohammad Ibn Saud Islamic University in tandem with its Medical Service Centre will celebrate the World Diabetes Day, which is holds on November 14 each year.
Stating that Dr. Abdul-Majeed Al Laban, Secretary General of Health Awareness Committee, and Consultant of Digestive & Liver Disease, and he furthered that, the events of the day will focus on the awareness of dangerous of diabetes, and the impact of its potential complications such as heart attack, stroke, kidney failure, blindness and nerve damage.
Shedding more lights on the events of the day, Dr. Abdul-Majeed clarified that, his committee would have arranging a number of events at the Medical Service Centre, Faculty of Medicine, College if Social Sciences, and King Abdulla City for Female Students.
It is worth to mention that, the events of the Medical Service Centre would be arranging under the supervision of Dr. Yasser Al-Sherif, Vice-Dean of Faculty of Medicine for Medical Services Affairs, and Dr. Mahmoud Abdul-Rahman, Head of Public Health Department and Head of Health Awareness Committee.
