On the next December, Imam Mohammad Ibn Saud Islamic University in collaboration with the Saudi Society of Endocrinology & Metabolism (SSEM), and Saudi Oncology Society, and GCC Health Council will host the sixth International Congress on Hormonal Steroids and Hormones and Cancer, says H.E. Prof. Dr. Suliman Aba Al-Khail, Rector of Imam Muhammad Ibn Saud Islamic University, in statements lastly.
Shedding lights on the event, H.E. the university rector stated that, the congress would be hold for the first time ever in the Middle East. "College of Medicine has successfully gained the honour to organize the event thanks to the due care of King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, the Custodian of the Holy Mosques, and Crown Prince H.R.H. Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz and Deputy Crown Prince Muqren bin Abdulaziz", added he. H.E. the university rector further pointed out that, the congress would present the latest scientific developments as well as the experience of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its researchers' contributions in this area.
From his side, Dr. Khaled Al-Qumaizy, Dean of College of Medicine and General Supervisor of Medical Services, clarified that, the gathering aims to discuss researches and its trends in the field of steroid hormones and to identify the related areas and enhance the knowledge of clinical practice to improve patient care.
"The congress includes a number of themes and topics such as; the influence of hormones on bone health and cancer tumours, and the impact of hormones on the brain and breast cancer, and the effect of hormones on the respiratory and cardiovascular, and prostate cancer its relationship and treatment by hormone, and obesity and its relationship to cancer and thyroid cancer", concluded he.
