 Imam University Organizes a Symposium at UNESCO HQ

Imam Mohammad Ibn Saud Islamic University, represented by its UNESCO Research, will arrange on the next days at the UNESCO headquarters in Paris a Symposium entitled "Education, Media and Dialogue: the foundations of human coexistence and the rejection of extremism and terrorism", says H.E. Prof. Dr. Suliman Aba Al-Khail, Rector of Imam University, in statements.

Shedding lights on the symposium, H.E. the university Rector has explained that, the approval of the Minister of Education to implement this Symposium to broaden the dissemination of programs and scientific activities for UNESCO Chairs at Imam University, in particular by contributing a message from these Chairs to specialists and interested persons in the world scientific community. It also helps in enrich the debate on the reality of the contributions of education, information and dialogue.

The rector stressed that this event takes place within the framework of the international programs of Imam University, which today has several partnerships with major universities and academic and scientific institutions throughout the world.

Concluding his words, Dr. Aba Al-Khail has acknowledged H.E. Dr. Ziad bin Abdullah Ad-Drees, the Permanent Representative of the Kingdom to UNESCO, for his attention to this symposium, and his efforts to provide the appropriate atmosphere for success.

For his part, Dr. Fahd Al-Asker, Vice-Rector of Imam University for Higher Studies and Academic Research, and the Symposium supervisor, has confirmed that the symposium will take place with the participation of three professors from the university research chairs and a number of thinkers and researchers from France, and will address several issues related to the three axis of the symposium
