Under the patronage of H.E. the Minister of Education and Chairman of the Universities Affairs Council, Mr. Yousef A. Al-Benyan, and in the presence of H.E. the President of IMSIU, Prof. Ahmed S. Alaameri, the Global TEDx Conference launched today, Monday, February 16, 2026, at the University's Conference Building. The event is held under the theme “From A to Z" and features male and female speakers across six diverse knowledge tracks.

The conference commenced with the Royal Anthem, followed by a recitation from the Holy Qur'an and an introductory visual presentation highlighting the conference's concept and message.

In his address, H.E. the University President affirmed that the conference represents a high-impact knowledge platform embodying the national commitment to youth as the core of development and the foundation of the future, in alignment with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.

H.E. further noted that the Minister of Education's patronage reflects the leadership's strong support for the higher education system and its commitment to empowering universities and their students in creativity and innovation. He emphasized the University's dedication to strengthening national identity, developing human capabilities, and preparing aware youth leaders capable of creating solutions and keeping pace with future demands.

He concluded by expressing his deep gratitude to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and to His Royal Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, for their continued support of the education and youth sectors. He also commended the TEDx organization, event partners, and working committees for their efforts in ensuring the conference's success and enriching its content.

Representing the conference's operating partner, ELO, Mr. Mohammed Abu Al-Rahi delivered a speech outlining the partnership's role in presenting the event in a highly professional manner that reflects integrated efforts and team spirit. He explained that while conferences may appear to audiences as short-lived experiences, they are in reality the result of an extended journey of preparation and dedication. Organizing TEDx at the University was not a passing event, but a project that spanned more than one year and four months, ultimately culminating in a success story created by University students with exceptional professionalism and passion.

The conference's strategic partner, Jeeny, represented by Mr. Mohammed Siam, shared the story of the project's beginnings before it evolved into a technological solution that simplifies effort with a single click. He emphasized that reaching its current stage required continuous development and persistent work, and that great ideas emerge from genuine needs and grow through determination and vision.

During the ceremony, H.E. the University President honored partners, supporters, and sponsors in appreciation of their contributions to the conference's success and distinction.

Conference sessions then commenced across several specialized tracks:
