The Board of Imam Mohammad Ibn Saud Islamic University (IMSIU) has approved the establishment of five new research chairs bearing the University's name, covering a range of scientific fields of national priority and strategic importance. This initiative reinforces the University's role in supporting the research and innovation ecosystem and contributes to achieving the ambitious targets of Saudi Vision 2030 and IMSIU's own strategic objectives.

     Dr. Al-Otaibi, in his capacity as Chair of the Standing Committee for Research Chairs, emphasized that the creation of these chairs is an extension of IMSIU's efforts to empower high-quality research and focus on national priorities. He highlighted that the new research chairs will foster a stimulating research environment that leverages modern technologies to serve development and innovation, while strengthening partnerships with government and private sectors.

     Dr. Al-Otaibi further noted that the established chairs cover specialized fields that serve national priorities, including:

• Research on the use of modern technologies in Islamic and Arabic Sciences

• Research on Intellectual Security and Preservation of National Identity

• Research on Governance and Policy Studies

• Research on Digital Transformation

• Research on Applications of Modeling and Simulation

   

  
       He added that these chairs represent a cornerstone of IMSIU's research ecosystem by supporting national capacities, linking research outcomes to practical and developmental applications, and attracting distinguished research talent both within the University and externally.

  
  

       Dr. Al-Otaibi expressed his gratitude to H.E. Prof. Ahmed S. Alaameri, President of IMSIU, for his continuous support of the research ecosystem and his ongoing encouragement of high-impact initiatives that enhance the University's standing in global rankings.
