As part of the Ministry’s celebration of the Saudi and International Volunteer Day,

The Minister of Education and Chairman of the Council of Universities Affairs, H.E. Yousef A. Al-Benyan, honored Imam Mohammad Ibn Saud Islamic University (IMSIU) this evening, Thursday, December 11, 2025, in recognition of the University's contribution to establishing its Volunteer Work Center in accordance with the national standard “Dama."

H.E. Prof. Ahmed S. Alaameri, President of the University, received the honorary shield from the Minister of Education during the ceremony held at the Ministry's headquarters in Riyadh under the theme “Volunteering: Giving and Impact."

This recognition reflects the Ministry's appreciation for the university's efforts to promote a robust volunteerism framework on campus, particularly in strengthening initiative management, documenting volunteer hours, and enabling students and staff to engage in community service initiatives aligned with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.

The recognition also highlights the university's leadership in developing governance and operational systems that support volunteering, and in expanding partnerships with public and nonprofit sectors to improve the quality and societal impact of volunteer initiatives.

The national “Dama" standard focuses on governance and compliance by establishing regulatory frameworks, policies and procedures, accountability and transparency mechanisms, volunteer management, talent recruitment, training and qualification, supervision and empowerment, rights protection, and effective planning and operational processes.

The University continues to enhance the Volunteer Center's training and field programs, while expanding participation opportunities for both male and female students; reinforcing its contribution to national projects focused on community service and volunteer engagement.
