Bridging is limited to programs that meet development requirements and labor market needs.
Bridging is intended to continue an educational path higher than the applicant's previous education or training track, in order to obtain a higher academic qualification (Bachelor's degree).
Bridging is limited to graduates of an intermediate diploma (post-secondary) or an intermediate university certificate, and it must be an extension of the specialization within the same qualification.
The total coursework required for a student admitted to the bridging program must not be less than (40%) of the Bachelor's degree requirements, excluding general preparation courses from this calculation, while observing programmatic accreditation requirements and standards, the acquisition by graduates of the skills and knowledge targeted by the program being bridged into, and the program's specialized standards.
The total credit hours and years of study a student completes upon being awarded the Bachelor's degree must not be less than the minimum specified in the Unified Saudi Classification of Specializations and Educational Levels and the National Qualifications Framework.
Bridging is paid (fee-based).
Ranking among applicants is based on a composite ratio of (80%) for the diploma academic average and (20%) for the General Aptitude Test score.
The applicant must not be currently enrolled at this university or any other university.
The relevant academic department council for the program determines which courses will be credited/equated on the bridging applicant's record.
