Education: He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Islamic Sharia (specializing in Islamic Economics) from Imam Muhammad bin Saud Islamic University and a Higher Diploma in Legal Studies from the Institute of Public Administration in Riyadh. Private Sector Experience: • Founding Partner at Al-Jadaan & Partners Law Firm (in association with the international law firm Clifford Chance), 1995–2015. He specialized in commercial law, finance, and capital market transactions, leading teams of lawyers in providing legal services and drafting contracts for numerous deals and partnerships. His work spanned sectors such as energy, petrochemicals, metals, water desalination, privatization, public-private partnerships (PPPs), project finance, and initial public offerings (IPOs) involving equities, bonds, and *Sukuk*. • Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Center for Commercial Arbitration, 2014–2015. • Member of the Saudi Arabian General Investment Authority (SAGIA), 2014–2015. • Member of the Advisory Committee of the Capital Market Authority (CMA), 2013–2015. • Member of the Lawyers’ Committee at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, 2013–2015. • Member of the Advisory Committee of the Supreme Economic Council, 2009–2015. • Registered arbitrator with the Saudi Ministry of Justice (until 2015). Government Career: He was appointed Chairman of the Board of the Capital Market Authority (CMA) on January 29, 2015, serving until his appointment as Minister of Finance on November 1, 2016. He served as Minister of Economy and Planning from March 2020 to May 2021. Minister of Finance: The Minister of Finance is responsible for formulating effective fiscal policies and managing financial resources to achieve stable economic growth, fiscal sustainability, and enhanced spending efficiency through effective governance and strengthened partnerships with the private sector, as well as bolstering the Kingdom’s influence within the regional and international financial communities.
