 Closure of the International Virtual Conference on “The Mutual Influence Between Social and Human Sciences and Digital Technologies”

     Imam Mohammad Ibn Saud Islamic University (IMSIU), represented by the College of Social Sciences, concluded on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, the International Virtual Conference titled “The Mutual Influence Between Social and Human Sciences and Digital Technologies." The conference was held under the patronage of H.E. Prof. Ahmed S. Alaameri, President of IMSIU, and continued for two days. A concluding statement was issued emphasizing the importance of strengthening integration between the humanities and modern technologies and enhancing the impact of scientific research in serving society and the nation.

 


     The closing statement, delivered by Dr. Faisal M. Al-Mohareb, Dean of the College of Social Sciences and Chair of the Organizing Committee, presented a set of scientific recommendations highlighting the need to establish specialized research centers dedicated to digital social sciences; develop modern tools and methodologies linking human knowledge with digital technologies; and design innovative digital initiatives to document and preserve cultural and linguistic heritage using advanced technologies.

 


     The recommendations also stressed the importance of establishing clear ethical guidelines for the responsible use of modern technologies and artificial intelligence in scientific research, ensuring intellectual property protection, research integrity, transparency, and data accuracy. They further called for integrating digital skills into academic curricula across undergraduate and postgraduate programs to empower students and researchers to effectively utilize modern technologies in their scholarly work.

In addition, the conference urged greater focus on social and research studies related to financial inclusion and digital transformation in economic services, to understand their impact on quality of life and the promotion of social and economic justice.

 


     Participants expressed their sincere appreciation to H.E. Prof. Ahmed S. Alaameri, President of IMSIU, for his patronage, continuous support, and efforts in enhancing the university's role in advancing scientific research and addressing contemporary societal issues. The statement also extended gratitude to the university's vice presidents for their dedicated oversight throughout all stages of preparation and organization, ensuring the conference appeared in a manner befitting the university's academic and scientific standing.

 


     The statement further commended the supervisory, scientific, technical, and media committees, whose coordinated efforts and sincere contributions played a pivotal role in the conference's success and the achievement of its objectives.

 


     Final Statement and Recommendations


     “Praise be to Allah, by whose grace good deeds are accomplished, and peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his companions.

At the conclusion of this international scientific conference titled 'The Mutual Influence Between Social and Human Sciences and Digital Technologies,' I am pleased to extend my highest gratitude and appreciation to His Excellency, the President of Imam Mohammad Ibn Saud Islamic University, Prof. Ahmed S. Alaameri, for his generous patronage, continuous support, and commitment to strengthening the university's contribution to scientific research and contemporary societal issues.


 

     My thanks are also extended to the university's vice presidents for their ongoing follow-up during all preparation and organizational stages, ensuring that the conference was presented in a manner befitting the university's academic stature.

 


     I also express my profound appreciation to the supervisory, scientific, technical, and media committees, whose sincere efforts and organized work played a leading role in the success of this conference. Their high level of competence and coordination contributed to presenting the conference in an exemplary manner that reflects the spirit of teamwork and institutional excellence at the university.

 


     My gratitude extends to all participating researchers whose scholarly papers and rich contributions added significant depth to the conference sessions and helped build an integrated scientific vision on the interaction between social and human sciences and digital technologies. Their participation stands as a model of scientific dedication and excellence.



     Special thanks go as well to the esteemed attendees—faculty members, students, researchers, and interested participants—whose engagement enriched the discussions and deepened the dialogue throughout the conference.


 

     Over two consecutive days, November 24–25, 2025, the conference convened eight scientific sessions, addressing a range of topics including artificial intelligence and its ethics, digital transformation in education and scientific research, cultural identity in digital environments, and the social and value shifts driven by modern technologies. The sessions were rich in dialogue, comprehensive in scope, and reflective of the growing need for greater integration between human knowledge and digital technologies in our Arab societies.


 

     Based on the discussions and presentations, the Scientific Committee concluded with a set of recommendations representing a forward-looking vision to advance scientific research and strengthen integration between social and human sciences and digital technologies in the Arab world. The key recommendations include:

 

     1. Establish specialized research centers in digital social sciences to follow research and technological developments and develop tools that link human sciences with modern technology.


     2. Develop digital programs and initiatives to document cultural heritage using advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence and augmented reality.


     3. Employ artificial intelligence to transmit culture and knowledge to future generations through interactive educational platforms that simulate heritage and social values.


     4. Establish ethical standards for the responsible use of modern technologies and artificial intelligence in research, ensuring intellectual property protection, data integrity, and transparency.


     5. Integrate digital skills into university and postgraduate curricula to empower students and researchers in using modern tools effectively.


     6. Encourage social studies on financial inclusion and digital transformation in economic services to understand their impact on quality of life and social justice.


     7. Conduct scientific studies on the digital environment's impact on children and adolescents, focusing on behavioral and psychological outcomes and proposing practical solutions.


     8. Develop researchers' capabilities in digital data analysis through training programs and workshops focused on big data and modern analytical tools.


     9. Enhance scientific cooperation between universities and research institutions locally and internationally to exchange expertise and best practices in digital and social studies.


     10. Advance digital education through interactive learning environments that use modern technologies to foster critical thinking and creativity.


     11. Utilize artificial intelligence tools in scientific research to enhance accuracy and quality while ensuring ethical standards that safeguard authors' rights.
