IMSIU, represented by the General Administration of Community Engagement, signed today, Monday, December 8, 2025, a Memorandum of Understanding with the Consumer Protection Association, aiming to enhance institutional cooperation in the fields of scientific research, training, development, and community service, in a way that contributes to raising awareness, advancing knowledge, and supporting national initiatives related to consumer protection.
The University was represented in the signing ceremony by Dr. Maher O. Abahusayn, General Supervisor of the General Administration of Community Engagement, while the Association was represented by its Chief Executive Officer, Prof. Ahmed M. Al-Mahlaki.
The MoU includes collaboration on joint research projects, organizing scientific meetings, seminars, and workshops, as well as the exchange of knowledge resources and digital educational materials. It also entails the development of e-learning fields and the exchange of academic and technical expertise to enhance performance quality for both parties. Additionally, the agreement covers cooperation in developing institutional excellence programs, improving performance plans, providing cooperative training opportunities for students, and producing awareness content aligned with global events and observances.
This partnership is part of the University's ongoing efforts to build integrative relationships with national institutions and fulfill its community engagement role by offering research and educational opportunities that serve consumer-protection causes and empower students and researchers to contribute to impactful social initiatives.
