​Imam ibn Saud Islamic University, represented by the College of Social Sciences and in collaboration with the Social Specializations Unit at the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development, organized the second introductory meeting for the ministry, on Thursday, December 28, 2023. The event was held in Sheikh Abdulaziz Altuwaijri Hall, featuring a workshop titled 'Introduction to Professional Registration, Classification, and Licensing for Social Practitioners'. The workshop began with the national anthem followed by a recitation of verses from the Holy Quran. Dr. Faisal M. Almuharib, Dean of the College of Social Sciences, welcomed the attendees in a speech where he emphasized the importance of psychological and social health for individuals. He highlighted the fact that it contributes to harnessing their energies to achieve their goals and aspirations, allowing individuals to play their natural role in life and positively impact society. Dr. Almuharib said that "mental and social health is one of the most important objectives of the Quality of Life Program in the Saudi Vision 2030, which focuses on improving the quality of life for individuals, families, and building a society where members enjoy a healthy and balanced lifestyle".

The first session discussed the importance of professional licenses for social specializations in the Saudi labor market. The session was chaired by Dr. Walid Alzahrani, faculty member at the College of Social Sciences, with Dr. Ibrahim Hakami, Head of the Psychology Department at the university, speaking. The second session was chaired by Dr. Noura Alenezi, assistant professor at the College of Social Sciences, with the General Manager of Social Specializations at the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development, Dr. Nada Almukhadhib speaking. She discussed the current standards for registration, classification, and training programs and their development. Additionally, Mr. Abdullah Alharthi, Director of the Electronic System and Quality Department at the Social Specializations Unit of the ministry, spoke about the electronic system for social specializations.
