 Under the patronage of His Excellency the University President. The International Conference “The Mutual Influence between Social and Human Sciences and Digital Technologies” at IMSIU

     Under the patronage of His Excellency the President of Imam Mohammad Ibn Saud Islamic University, the Virtual International Conference “The Mutual Influence between Social and Human Sciences and Digital Technologies" began this morning, Monday, 24 November 2025, with the participation of 42 researchers and 8 sessions extending until tomorrow, Tuesday, via the Webex platform.



     The Conference opened with a speech by Prof. Ahmed S. Alaameri , President of Imam Mohammad Ibn Saud Islamic University, in which he welcomed the participants and affirmed that holding the conference reflects the university's ongoing approach to enhancing integration between the humanities and modern technologies and activating the role of scientific research in serving human values and national development. He emphasized the importance of directing digital technologies in ways that support knowledge, preserve identity, and enhance societal awareness.



     His Excellency noted in his opening remarks that the university, with the support of the wise leadership, has launched research and academic initiatives and programs focused on digital transformation, artificial intelligence, and their cultural and social dimensions—making the university a leading platform for scientific dialogue and knowledge exchange, and contributing to building a more aware and humane sustainable future.



     He also expressed his gratitude to the participants and the working committees, appreciating their efforts in ensuring the success of the conference, and expressing hope that its outcomes will contribute to advancing human knowledge and enhancing its societal impact.



     The Chair of the Scientific Committee, Prof. Abdulrahman M. Asiri, then delivered a speech in which he reviewed the conference's themes and scientific agenda, noting that the conference embodies its philosophy of employing technology to support scientific research.



     Prof. Asiri stated that the conference aims to highlight the impact of digital transformations on the development of the social and human sciences, review scientific experiences in employing artificial intelligence and big data, and discuss ethical challenges and the future of human–technology integration.



     He explained that the conference received submissions from Arab, Asian, and European countries, as well as the United States of America. Forty scientific papers were approved after rigorous academic review, distributed across eight sessions held over two days. These sessions address topics such as identity, childhood, heritage, societal behavior, digital ethics, and future trends in technology utilization.



     At the end of his speech, the Chair of the Scientific Committee expressed thanks to His Excellency the University President, the University Vice Presidents, the Dean of the College of Social Sciences, the scientific and organizing committees, and the participating researchers, praising their efforts in enriching the conference and ensuring its success.



     Following this, the first scientific session of the conference began, discussing “National Achievements in Employing Digital Technologies in the Social and Human Sciences."
