His Excellency Prof. Ahmed S. Alaameri President of IMSIU honored on the morning of Thursday, November 20, 2025, the working team involved in implementing the University's Strategic Plan (2026–2030), in a ceremony held at the University's administration building. The event was attended by Dr. Khulood F. Al-Tamimi, Vice President for Institutional Development and Social Responsibility, alongside several university vice presidencies, deans of colleges and supporting deanships, general supervisors, directors of university departments, consultants, initiative directors, and working team members.
Dr. Khulood Al-Tamimi delivered an opening speech in which she extended her gratitude and appreciation to His Excellency the President of the University for his continuous support for the planning and development journey. She praised the involvement of university leadership and the cooperation of its units during all phases of updating the strategic plan, affirming that the efforts of university members reflect the institution's readiness to lead future development initiatives. She also thanked the organizing committees and all participants in executing the ceremony.
In his speech, His Excellency Prof. Alaameri expressed his delight at the achievements realized through the University's second strategic plan (2026–2030), which is the result of the first strategic plan (2020–2025). He emphasized that the success of both plans was driven by the efforts of the University's exceptional staff and talents, along with the leadership's support and belief in the importance of strategic planning.
He further stated that the strategic plan represents a roadmap for the University's future, noting that the first phase contributed to numerous educational and research initiatives and successes. He emphasized that the coming phase aims to build on these gains and further the university's excellence and leadership at both the national and global levels.
At the end of his speech, Prof. Alaameri thanked all consultants, working groups, and university leaders for their contributions to preparing and executing the plans, highlighting that their efforts were fundamental in improving performance and achieving a qualitative leap across the University's operations, in alignment with Saudi Vision 2030.
The ceremony also included the honoring of former initiative owners, including vice presidents, consultants, and executive team members, in recognition of their roles in preparing and implementing the plan's programs and their contributions to enhancing performance and operational efficiency.
It is noteworthy that the University's strategic planning journey, launched under the directive of the President and closely followed by the Vice Presidency for Institutional Development and Social Responsibility, progressed through several stages beginning with the first plan (2020–2025). During that period, consultants played a pivotal role by providing their expertise to guide decision-making and improve outcomes, paving the way for the second plan (2026–2030), which continues to benefit from their support in ongoing development tracks.
This recognition comes as part of the University's commitment to fostering a culture of institutional excellence, motivating its staff to participate in development initiatives, and supporting the achievement of its educational, research, and community service goals in line with national transformation objectives and Vision 2030.
