The Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center at Imam Mohammad ibn Saud Islamic University organized training courses and workshops which were attended by more than 480 faculty members, administrative staff, and university students.
The workshops and courses, conducted at the "Imam Cloud" headquarters, covered the fundamentals of intellectual property and patents, regulations pertaining to protection, and the legal prerequisites for acquiring a patent. This entailed the entire process from document preparation and submission to the evaluation and determination of patent eligibility.
The Center also offered a specialized course on "Digital Manufacturing." The course discusses the digital revolution and its impact on manufacturing and focuses on modern technologies such as 3D printing and computer-aided design.
Dr. Sawsan Almoumin, Director of the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center, stressed that the University is keen on these activities and courses in order to develop the innovative capabilities of its staff and elevate knowledge in the field of innovation and business. She explained that the Center, as part of its strategic objectives, provides programs, courses, and workshops that are held periodically to raise awareness of entrepreneurship and innovation among university staff, support and stimulate innovation and entrepreneurship within the University, in addition to supporting and encouraging the registration of patents
