Under the patronage of H.E. Prof. Ahmad S. Al-Ameri, President of Imam Mohammad Ibn Saud Islamic University, the University—represented by the Deanship of Student Affairs and the General Administration for International Students—organized the International Students' Day event today, Monday, November 17, 2025, in the main lobby, with the attendance of several ambassadors from Arab, Islamic, and foreign countries in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The event included an exhibition, entertainment programs, and various folkloric performances presented by participating international students from the University.
His Excellency inaugurated the exhibition in the presence of Dr. Abdullah A. Al-Asmary, Vice President for Educational Affairs, a number of college deans, and a group of students and faculty members.
His Excellency toured the exhibits and watched traditional performances and dances presented by international students representing more than 35 countries. Through these displays, the students introduced the audience to the cultural heritage of their countries, showcasing traditional artifacts that reflect their nations' historical legacy.
The event—attended by a large number of university students—served as a bridge for communication aimed at learning about different cultures, promoting the values of tolerance and coexistence, and strengthening bonds of friendship among international students. It also aimed to enhance integration within the university environment and broaden cultural understanding among students. Participants presented the heritage of their countries through cultural booths displaying traditional attire, folk artifacts, and performing arts, reflecting the rich cultural diversity within the university.
The exhibition also highlighted demographic data on international students, offering comprehensive information on internal and external scholarship recipients from 2005/2006 to the present. The display featured a heat map illustrating student density by country, as well as their distribution across colleges and academic programs. Interactive datasets were additionally made available through QR codes.
Several ambassadors were also able to meet and connect with students from their respective countries during the event. This celebration reflects the University's commitment to supporting international students and empowering them academically and culturally through such occasions, equipping them with knowledge, values, and modern skills that enhance their impact in their home countries and promote human connection and cultural exchange.
At the conclusion of the event, His Excellency the University President honored the ambassadors of the participating countries in recognition of their attendance, engagement, and support for their students at the University.
