This section reviews the status of Imam Muhammad bin Saud Islamic University's scientific publishing according to the Web of Science reports Scopus published in 2023 and the Web of Science. Where the university's research published in publishing vessels indexed in the various Web of Science indexes has been classified into many specialized research directions, numbering 200 specialized disciplines.
- The number of the university's publications in the Web of Science increased to 7,368 as of the end of May 2024, as follows:
- 6761 researches in the scope of science and technology.
- 607 researches in the scope of social sciences, humanities and arts
- The data showed that the total number of citations obtained by the
university's research is 96,506 as of May 30, 2024, with a high rate of 13.1 per published paper. The h-index of the university's research has increased to 89, which means that 89 of the university's research papers have at least 89 citations each.
- The study showed a steady increase in the number of research papers on
an annual basis, and the total number of research papers prepared by university
affiliates and listed in the Web of Science in 2023 reached 1618.
