 Imam Mohammad Ibn Saud Islamic University signed a memorandum of cooperation with the General Authority for Survey and Geospatial Information to develop national competencies in the geospatial sector.

On Tuesday, February 29, 2024, the General Authority for Survey and Geospatial Information signed a memorandum of cooperation with Imam Mohammad Ibn Saud Islamic University to enhance national capabilities in the field of surveying and geospatial information.

The cooperation memorandum includes efforts by both parties to exchange expertise, knowledge resources, and education, enhance integration in research and scientific projects, design and implement accredited training programs and diplomas, and establish professional certifications in the field of surveying and geospatial information. It also aims to promote innovation through research accelerators, incubators, innovation events, and awards. Additionally, the agreement includes the establishment and monitoring of postgraduate geospatial studies programs through joint coordination and the development of bridging programs that help increase qualification rates and build national capacities in the geospatial sector.
