Under the patronage of of H.E., the President of IMSIU, Prof. Ahmed S. Alaameri, the Higher Judicial Institute concluded on Sunday, February 15, 2026, the Seventh Specialized Judicial Program for judges from the Republic of Indonesia. The closing ceremony was held at the Conference Building on Campus, attended by several academic and judicial leaders.
The ceremony began with a recitation from the Holy Qur'an, followed by a speech delivered on behalf of the participating judges. In their remarks, they expressed their sincere appreciation to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and to His Royal Highness Crown Prince and Prime Minister Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, as well as to IMSIU, for the warm reception and generous hospitality. They commended the significant role of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia—its leadership and people—in serving brotherly nations across the Islamic world.
In their address, delivered by Judge Mohammad Taufiq, the participants emphasized that the program provided a distinguished academic opportunity to explore the Kingdom's judicial experience and to benefit from Saudi expertise in Shariah foundations, practical application, digital transformation, and the development of judicial procedures. They described the experience as an advanced model that harmonizes authenticity with modernization.
Judge Taufiq further expressed their aspiration that the program would strengthen cooperation and the exchange of expertise, serving as a foundation for enhancing judicial integration between the two countries.
A speech was subsequently delivered on behalf of the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Indonesia by Dr. Yasseruddin Yagos Sageeb, Head of the Sharia Chamber of the Supreme Court of Indonesia. He extended his appreciation to the Higher Judicial Institute at IMSIU for organizing the program, which was attended by 32 judges from Indonesia. He highlighted the tangible academic and practical outcomes achieved and the program's contribution to addressing various applied issues, particularly in the areas of transactions, bankruptcy, criminal matters, and contemporary Shariah issues. He also expressed hope for the continuation of such training initiatives and the strengthening of future cooperation, especially with Indonesian judges who are alumni of IMSIU in Jakarta.
In his remarks as patron of the ceremony, H.E. Prof. Ahmed S. Alaameri affirmed that the Higher Judicial Institute has consistently organized specialized judicial programs for judges from various Islamic countries. He noted Indonesia's participation in several previous programs and emphasized the University's commitment to sustaining such initiatives to enhance scholarly exchange and mutual expertise.
His Excellency stated that these programs are implemented in accordance with the directives of the Kingdom's wise leadership and under the follow-up of the Minister of Education. He noted that they contribute to developing participants' competencies while reinforcing the Higher Judicial Institute's standing as a distinguished academic institution in advanced judicial studies.
He further explained that organizing such programs reflects the leadership's continued support for education and the strengthening of relations with brotherly countries, foremost among them the Republic of Indonesia. He reaffirmed IMSIU's commitment to expanding international cooperation and advancing specialized judicial qualification programs in alignment with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 in building human capital and strengthening international partnerships.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, H.E. the President of IMSIU presented certificates and commemorative shields to the participants in recognition of their efforts throughout the program. In turn, the Indonesian judges presented a commemorative shield to His Excellency, symbolizing the depth of relations between the two countries. The event concluded with a luncheon.
The organization of this program forms part of the University's international initiatives aimed at disseminating Shariah and judicial knowledge, strengthening its global academic presence, and enhancing cooperation with judicial institutions in brotherly and friendly countries. It also supports the exchange of scholarly and judicial expertise, reflecting IMSIU's leading position in specialized judicial qualification and training.
