 IMSIU Signs MoU with Artificial Intelligence Governance Association to Strengthen Research and AI Governance Cooperation

     To enhance cooperation in scientific research, training, and the exchange of expertise in artificial intelligence governance, Imam Mohammad Ibn Saud Islamic University signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Artificial Intelligence Governance Association.

 


     Represented by the Vice Presidency for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research, the University signed the memorandum on Sunday, February 15, 2026, as part of its efforts to strengthen strategic partnerships with specialized national entities and advance cooperation in scientific, research, training, and advisory fields.

 


     The memorandum was signed on behalf of the University by Naif M. Al-Otaibi, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research, while the Association was represented by Dhabiya A. Al-Buainain, Chair of the Board of Directors.

 


     The memorandum aims to enhance collaboration in joint research projects; organize meetings, conferences, seminars, and workshops in academic and research fields; and facilitate the exchange of scientific, academic, and technical expertise. It also includes cooperation in developing faculty members' scientific and professional competencies, supporting artificial intelligence governance and its contemporary applications.

 


     Additionally, the memorandum covers cooperation in implementing specialized scientific and awareness initiatives and programs in artificial intelligence governance. This will contribute to disseminating specialized knowledge, strengthening national capacity in emerging technological fields, and advancing the research and innovation environment.

 


     This memorandum reflects the University's ongoing commitment to building high-quality partnerships with specialized national entities, strengthening alignment between educational outcomes and future sector needs, supporting institutional excellence and innovation, and contributing to the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.
