 Al-Imam Launches Quran and Sunnah Memorization Contest

In the sidelines with the events and programs of the Conference of Efforts of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in Establishing and Rooting Ahl Al-Sunnah wal-Jamaah Path in Supporting Arab-Muslim Issues "KSHC", which will be patronizing by H.R.H. Prince Mohammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, Crown Prince and Deputy Premier, Al-Imam Mohammad Ibn Saud Islamic University has launched recently the first phase of the Quran and Sunnah Memorization qualifications for more than 2500 competitors.

Stated that recently Madam Aishah bent Mohammad Al-Rajhi, Head of Female Centre, and had furthered that, the step has come in line with the exerting efforts of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to honouring memorizers of Quran and Sunnah and linking Saudi sons with them. She clarified that, the preparations for the competition have started since Shaba'an 1438 H, as the committees were formed, and the implementation plan was prepared and the competition was announced, which was received huge number of female competitors through electronic registration from all regions of the Kingdom reaching more than 2500 female competitors.

In significance with the competition, Madam Aishah Al-Rajhi has accompanied Dr. Modah bent Ibrahim Al-Dubian, Dean of Female Study Centre, in an inspection visit to the competition's committees. She explained to her the workflow of the committees and the first qualification of the competition, which has started in Riyadh and then will move to Al-Qassim and Al-Zulifi and the rest of the Kingdom's regions.

The competition consisted of seven committees for Quran Competition and one committee for Sunnah Competition with two arbitrators for each committee for six hours a day. All committees are working under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Hulail, Chairman of the Committee, and Head of Female Centre for Quran and Sunnah, and Madam Aishah bent Mohammad Al-Rajhi, Head of Female Centre, and her Assistant Madam Munirah Al-Baker, and Dr. Eyman Al-Amody, Head of Quran Competition, and Dr. Latifa Al-Ghalood, Head of Sunnah Competition.
