On the recent days, Prof. Dr. Fahd bin Abdulaziz Al-Asker, Vice-Rector of Al-Imam Muhammad Ibn Saud Islamic University for Higher Studies and Academic Research, has chaired a meeting of the preliminary committee of the second national conference of the preparatory year, which will be hosting during the next March 2017.
In conjunction with the meeting agendas, Dr. Al-Asker has acknowledged the efforts been exerted by Deanship of Preparatory Year in sharpen students’ skills to join the colleges and institutes of the university. He, in further, has hailed the attention being paid to the conferences arrangements by the deanship.
It is worth to mention that, the conference aims to discuss the reality of the relationship between the preparatory years at Saudi universities and public education institutions, and consider the reality of the relationship between the preparatory years within universities, as well as evaluating the extent to which the preparatory years’ plans and programmes to achieve labour market requirements. Moreover, to assess the overall impact of the preparatory years in Saudi universities outputs, and review the most important local and international experiences in the preparatory year’s data approach to labour market requirements, and how programs and preparatory years would contribute in Saudi Vision 2030.
