 Al-Imam University Share Success at i-COME'14 Gathering

Lastly, Al-Imam Muhammad Ibn Saud Islamic University has actively participated and shared success at the International Conference on Communication and Media 2014 “i-COME'14”, an international conference organized by the Communication Department from the School of Multimedia Technology and Communication, Universiti Utara Malaysia.

The university delegation at the conference has included a number of the academia dignitaries including Dr. Abdullah Al-Refae, Dean of College of Media and Communication, and Dr. Abdullah Al-Huqail, Head of Advertisement and Marketing Communication Dept, and Dr. Muhammad Al-Subaihi, Vice-Dean of Media College for Development and Quality.

Addressing the inaugurating session as a key speaker, Dr. Al-Huqail has explained the details of transmitting of human communication and information. He cited that, the modernized technology has offer a power which being demolish by the traditional media technology. “Personal communication technology has forerun mass media of radio, TV and press”, added he.

Further, he noted that, the internet media and new media had restored human communicative process back to its normal status, where individual occupies its proper place. In a complaint of some attendees about dumping inaccurate online information, Dr. Al-Huqail pointed that, it’s a temporary and normal status experienced by individuals.

“Online contact turned into a social interactive process conducted virtually and this is uncharacteristic with traditional media, adding that the current communication process is unhindered psychological and unrestricted process without captain”, added he.

It is worth mention that, Dr. Al-Huqail has depended, during his one-hour lecture, on mathematical and statistical equations to proof his own theses, a matter that captured admiration and acceptance from all attendants. ​
