Numerous decisions had deeply discussed and adopted by members of Al-Imam Muhammad Ibn Saud Islamic University Council in their sixth regular session for 1436-1437 H, which winded up recently. Meeting of the university council had chaired by H.E. Prof. Dr. Suliman Aba Al-Khail, Rector of Al-Imam Muhammad Ibn Saud Islamic University.
Speaking to the audience, H.E. the university Rector has clarified that, a number of critical and strategic projects would be embarking by Al-Imam University during the next coming days. He, as well, urged all deans of the colleges and the supporting deanships to do their utmost efforts to bring success to the academical year and the students.
H.E. the university Rector has also spoke about the significance of establishing the “Intellectual Awareness Unit” inside the university, and to what extent it will helps largely in the solidarity and unity of all members of the university. In a similar vein, all members of the university’s council have unanimously agreed to send a Thank-You Cable to King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, and Crown Prince H.R.H. Prince Muhammad bin Naif bin Abdulaziz and Deputy Crown H.R.H. Prince Muhammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, for their stanch support and care to Al-Imam University. In furtherance, for the appointment of H.E. Prof. Dr. Suliman Aba Al-Khail as a Rector of the university.
On the decisions taken by the council’s members, Dr. Fawzan bin Abdul-Rahman Al-Fawzan, Secretary-General of Al-Imam University Council, has stated that, decision on the renewal of Dr. Abdullah Theqfan for another academic year has approved, and two staff members were accepted their resignations, and renewal of Dr. Fatten bint Al-Musharraf for the membership of Sharia College Council has approved. Moreover, a number of members of council of Deanship of Preparatory Programs and Council of Institute of Arabic-Islamic History were renewed their membership.
On the research affairs, Dr. Al-Fawzan has stated that, 21 staff members have granted sabbatical leaves, in addition to two staff members to study a foreign language. As well, the council also approved cancellation and postponing of sabbatical leaves for many staff members.
Finally, members of the council have agreed the final financial statement of the university for the academic year of 1436-1437 H and granting a special bonus to Dr. Azz Al-Deen Qraeen, and granting the executive powers of the council to H.E. Saudi Minister of Education, who is also a Head of the University Council, during the summer vacation.
