On the recent days, College of Computer Sciences and Information of Al-Imam Muhammad Ibn Saud Islamic University has announced that the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET, the global accreditor of college and university programs in applied science, computing, engineering, and engineering technology, has accredited its undergraduate degree programs in Computer Sciences, Information Systems and Information Studies.
Declared that Dr. Waleed Al-Rodhan, Dean of College of Computer Sciences and Information, and further has congratulated H.E. Prof. Dr. Suliman Aba Al-Khail, Rector of Al-Imam Muhammad Ibn Saud Islamic University, on the achievement accomplished.
Shedding lights on the achievement, Dr. Al-Rodhan has stated that, ABET accreditation assures that programs meet standards to produce graduates ready to enter critical technical fields that are leading the way in innovation and emerging technologies. It also conforms to the Saudi Vision 2030, which intentionally anticipating the welfare and progress needs of the public.
“Receiving accreditation means that our programs are held to an international standard, and are internationally recognized, which in turn means that our students have stronger job prospects and greater prospects for continued education. College of Computer Sciences and Information strives to create high quality programs that are active in the research world, and in the academic world. The ABET accreditation received will last until next 2022, a matter that would demonstrates our commitment”, added he.
Clinching his words, Dr. Al-Rodhan has appreciated and acknowledged the strong support and care being received from the wised leaders, as well as from H.E. the university Rector, whom ever keen to encourage each and every achievements of the university.
