 Al-Imam Rector Inaugurates Cyberterrorism Forum Tomorrow

H.E. Prof. Dr. Suliman Aba Al-Khail, Rector of Al-Imam Muhammad Ibn Saud Islamic University, will inaugurate on the morning of the next Tuesday the forum of “Cyberterrorism: It’s Tactics and Combating Methods”, which organizing by King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Centre for Contemporary Islamic Studies and Dialogue of Civilizations, attributed to the university learned research centres.

In statements on the occasion, H.E. the university rector has pointed out that, the holding of the forum is comes in lines with the efforts of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, in general, and King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, in particular, to combat terrorism in all its forms. He added that, the launching of the forum would, also, realize the aspirations of King Abdullah and his royal calling to stand together and harness each and every efforts and capabilities to combat terrorism.

On the goals of the forum, H.E. Dr. Aba Al-Khail has clarified that, the forum aims to help identifying suspected terrorism websites, exchange information and data with specialized persons in this field, reconsider the ways of combating and protecting against terrorism, and keep pace with the latest updates to strengthen the role of family and education and masjid within the community.

From his side, Dr. Abdul-Mohsen Al-Sumaih, Dean of King Abdullah Centre, has stated that, the holding of the forum comes within the executive plan of his administration. “Initiative of King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz considers as a strong foundation and a wised beginning addressing international reality, and its events and conflicts. Such initiative that based on the preservation of rights, and mutual respect, will actually achieves security and peace between nations and peoples”, added he.

Dr. Al-Sumaih has concluded his words by stating that, the forum will address a number of themes including terrorism and extremism, types of cyberterrorism, causes of cyberterrorism and its impacts, and rights of cyberterrorism victims.
