Lastly, program of Al-Imam Muhammad Ibn Saud Islamic University to commemorate the 84th Saudi National Day has kicked-off as its College of Media and Communication has organized on the last Thursday a symposium entitled “Role of Media in Cementing Patriotism” at the college premises.
Inaugurating the symposium, Dr. Abdullah Al-Refai, Dean of Media and Communication College, has expressed about his happiness to organize this gathering by his administration to commemorate Saudi national day. He shed lights on the role of media in cementing patriotism through paying care to the homeland from the outside threats that targeting youth firstly and the achievements generally. It’s a valuable anniversary for all as the late King Abdulaziz bin Abdul-Rahman has founded and unified this blessed country, added he.
Addressing the audience, Dr. Fawzan Al-Fawzan, Vice-Rector of Al-Imam University for Community Service and Information Technology, has stated that, this celebration did not come from a vacuum, but it is a gift from Allah Almighty to this country, as it become unified after dispersed until it is now a coherent country politically and economically. “Efforts of late King Abdulaziz – the founder of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia – and his followed sons were tremendous. The late King was fight for nearly 30 years to unify the country and then spent the rest of his life combating poverty and disease until this country has become, in the era of the he Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, one of the best nations economically, educationally and politically”, added he.
In furtherance, Dr. Al-Fawzan has admonished a number of efforts that been exerted to develop this country, especially the expansion of the two holy mosques since King Abdulaziz – the founder – until his followed sons. He called on all students of the media college to take responsibility in awakening your counterparts to perfectly commemorate this occasion.
In similar vein, Dr. Al-Fawzan has mentioned the last granted-PhD of Al-Imam University to King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques. He clearly stated that, King’s efforts in cementing the international cooperation and devoting interfaith dialogue and combating terrorisms and extremisms are notable and spectacular. “Is worth more than a certificate of honorary PhD that granted to the King, but it’s a simple gesture from Al-Imam University in recognition of his majesty efforts”, clinched he.
From his part, Dr. Hamad Al-Musa, Vice-Dean of College of Media and Communication for Higher Studies and Academic Research, has pointed out that, Saudi commemoration to this blessed occasion is not like any other all around the world, that’s why it’s a reminiscence of unification of all parts of the nation. “Saudi National Day is not only has a political meaning, but it has other religious, political meanings, and King Abdulaziz has realized earlier the role of the media when he was announced while entered Mecca the establishment of the first official newspaper, i.e. Umm Al-Qura”, added he.
