 Al-Imam University Won e-Government Achievement Award

 

e-Government Achievement Award, Category of Community eParticipation (User Feedback), earned by Al-Imam Muhammad Ibn Saud Islamic University has not come out unexpectedly, but it is a result of concreted efforts exerted according to clear strategic missions and plans, says H.E. Prof. Dr. Suliman Aba Al-Khail, Rector of Al-Imam Muhammad Ibn Saud Islamic University, in statements in significance with the award ceremony held lastly.

H.E. the university rector comments has come in line with the 3rd edition of the (Saudi e-Government Achievement Award) ceremony patronized by H.R.H. Prince Muqren bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, Deputy of Crown Prince, Advisor and Special Envoy of Custodian of the two Holy Mosques, which organized by Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) represented by the e-Government Program (Yesser).

Continued his words, H.E. Dr. Aba Al-Khail has pointed out that, the achievement gained by his administration will encourage them to exert more and more efforts to bring success to the university deliverables. “Al-Imam Muhammad Ibn Saud Islamic University has additional services and contributions in regard of IT services, and what was launched recently by Deanship of Information Technology is a good example”, added he.

From his side, Prof. Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Amer, Dean of Deanship of eLearning and Distance Education, has stated that, the decorated award does not astonished by Al-Imam University, as it always pays due care and attention to its plans and objectives to realize the aspirations of King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques. “Target of the award is to encourage all governmental agencies to work hard for more creativity, as well as to collaborate with each other to better serve the community”, said he.

Concluded his words, Dr. Al-Amer has declared that, out of 152 e-services and systems  from 67 contestant government agencies participated in the contest, 16 projects/services  are declared winning.
