​H.E. Sheikh Prof. Dr. Suliman Aba Al-Khail, Rector of Al-Imam Muhammad Ibn Saud Islamic University and Member of Saudi Senior Ulemas Council, has recently announces the approval of King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, to arrange the international conference of "Kingdom's Efforts for Implanting and Rooting Path of Ahl as-Sunnah wa L-Jamaʻah".

This has come during a press conference arranged yesterday at the university council, in the presence of a number of the university’s vice-rectors and members of the university council and dignitaries of the university.

Commending the King’s approval, Dr. Aba Al-Khail has praised the due care been received by King Salman to all the university’s efforts and contributions. He, additionally, noted to the excellent reputation of the university and its pioneering standing, amongst the Saudi counter-parts.

In a similar vein, H.E. the university Rector has considered the King’s approval as a badge of honour and a crown on the heads of each and every one of the university’s community, especially after the real starting of the conference and even after its end. It mainly focuses on a number of concepts, topics, goals and themes. “It aims to clarify the meaning of Ahl as-Sunnah wa L-Jamaʻah, i.e. Sunni Muslims, beside the kingdom’s standing and method, as well as its efforts and contributions, in respect of gathering, reunion and warning about difference and disagreement, and state the correct Islamic faith and defending it”, added he.

Concluding his words, Dr. Aba Al-Khail has pointed out that, the conference will addressing a number of themes, including the role of Kingdom in supporting Arab and Muslims cases, most of them the Palestine case and Al-Aqsa Mosque, the efforts of Kingdom in spreading Dawah to Allah, and the upholding of Kingdom to the vulnerable issues. Moreover, the efforts of Kingdom in combating terrorism and extremism, and the pioneering contribution of Kingdom in strengthening values of moderation and spreading it, the support and care of Kingdom in interfaith dialogue. Lastly, the efforts of Kingdom in caring about Quran and Sunnah and support knowledge and Ulemas, and the role of Kingdom in protecting Ahl as-Sunnah wa L-Jamaʻah against Shia illegal expansion and the role of Kingdom in serving Al-Haramain.
