 King Salman Receives Honorary Doctorate from Al-Imam University

​King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, has accepted and received lastly an honorary doctorate awarded by Al-Imam Mohammad Ibn Saud Islamic University in recognition to his majesty services to Holy Quran and its sciences.

The degree was presented by H.E. Prof. Dr. Suliman Aba Al-Khail, Rector of Al-Imam Mohammad Ibn Saud Islamic University, and Member of Saudi Senior Ulemas Council, who was received by King Salman and an accompanying delegation of the university at Al-Salam Palace in Jeddah.

In significance with the celebration event arranged, H.E. the university rector has delivered a speech in which he said that, the conferred degree came as an appreciation of the King’s great efforts, deeds and continuing support for all matters concerning the Holy Quran. He, additionally, mentioned that, the initiation and launching of the Global Centre for Combating Extremist Ideology “Edital” by King Salman is also a credit for awarding the degree.

In a similar vein, Dr. Aba Al-Khail has convoyed to King Salman that, all community members of Al-Imam Mohammad Ibn Saud Islamic University are appreciating his majesty wised standings and crucial decisions in combating terrorism and extremism in all its types and images.

It is worth to mention that, the degree awarded ceremony was attended by Dr. Ibrahim Al-Assaf, Minister of State and Member of Ministers’ Council, and Dr. Nizar Maddani, Minister of State for the Foreign Affairs, and Dr. Abdul-Rahman Al-Assmi, Deputy of Minister of Education.
