 Al-Imam University Establishes Special Needs’ Council

​Recently, Al-Imam Muhammad Ibn Saudi Islamic University has announced on the last days the creation of a unique council for the special needs persons heading by H.E. Prof. Dr. Suliman Aba Al-Khail, Rector of Al-Imam Mohammad Ibn Saud Islamic University, and Member of Saudi Senior Ulemas Council.

On the announcement significance, H.E. the university rector has stated that, the established council will realize the ambitions of King Salman bin Abdul-Aziz Al-Saud, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, in scale-up the projects and services offering to the special needs as general.

He, additionally, pointed out that, the council is targeting mainly to accomplish the pioneering and integration among the programs and offered-services including the ratification of regulations and rules of procedure of special needs persons inside the university; adopting workflow and formation of sub-committees relating to them; approving the societal partnerships dedicating to the special needs persons. Moreover, accepting the voluntary contributions and donations, and developing the serviceable work of them in light of the international experiences and experiments, as well as encouraging the initiatives and projects relating to them. Lastly, to approving the budget and the annual action-plan of the special needs persons.

It is worth to mention that, the council’s membership includes H.E. the university rector as a president, vice-rector for community service and information technology as a vice-president, and the membership of Head of Technical Affairs, Dean of Deanship of eLearning and Distance Education, Dean of Students’ Affairs, Dean of University Centre for Community Service and Continuing Education, Mr. Abdul-Waheed Al-Hudiathi, and Head of Special Needs Centre.
