The participation of Al-Imam Mohammad Ibn Saud Islamic University in the events of the 31st National Festival for Heritage and Culture “Al-Janadriyah” is comes line with believe of the university in the festival and its services to the homeland and the next generations, says Dr. Abdul-Rahman Al-Saghyer, Vice-Rector for Community Service and Information Technology, in statements recently.
Shedding more lights on the topic, Dr. Al-Saghyer has acknowledged the assigning of the university to arrange and organize one the cultural events of the festival, namely “Symposium of Fiqh of Changes and Development in the Islamic Legislation”. He considered the step reflecting the pioneering position of the university in the areas of education, academic research and community service.
In a similar vein, Dr. Al-Saghyer has noted that, Al-Janadriyah Festival has accomplished high-level targets relating to the Islamic and social values that rooted deeply in history In order to reach a formula for synergies between the popular tradition in all its aspects and the cultural achievements reached by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Concluding his words, Dr. Al-Saghyer has praised the efforts of H.E. Sheikh Prof. Dr. Suliman Aba Al-Khail, Rector of Al-Imam Mohammad Ibn Saud Islamic University and Member of Saudi Senior Ulemas Council, to bring success to the university’s participation at the festival. He described it as a meaningful and constructive participation, especially as this demonstration is a source of pride, and considerable economic and cultural resource, and has become one of the most important cultural events in the region.
