 21st Meeting of GCC Universities Rectors Launched

​At the morning of this Tuesday, the 21st meeting of Rectors and Chancellors of the GCC Universities and the accompanied symposium, which is hosting by Al-Imam Muhammad Ibn Saud Islamic University, has launched at Riyadh Ritz-Carlton Hotel by the preparation meeting of the vice-rectors and vice-chancellors of the GCC Universities.

In significance with the preparation meeting, Prof. Dr. Fahd Al-Asker, Vice-Rector for Higher Studies and Academic Research and President of the Organising Committee, has chaired the session where he welcomed the audience and convoyed to them the appreciation of Al-Imam University to host and organise such a great gathering.

Continuing his words, Dr. Al-Asker has reaffirmed the significance of such meetings to enhance the cooperation process between the party countries especially in academic research and academical matters, which are the driving force behind each and every ambitious initiatives.

From his side, Dr, Muhammad Al-Qubaisi, Head of Educational Administration of GCC Secretariat General, has acknowledged King Salman and Al-Imam University dignitaries for the warmth welcome and hospitality they found here. He convoyed the greetings of H.E. Dr. Abdul-Latif Al-Zayani, Secretary General of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf (GCC), to all audience.

Further he pointed out that, the agenda of the meeting which led by the decisions of Supreme Council constitute a political breakthrough in the field of comprehensive educational development which has shared between GCC universities. Meeting agenda extends to include a number of important topics including volunteering work, which blessed by Higher Education Ministers at their last meeting in Muscat and which will regaining topic a great interest from the GCC leaders.
