 King Saud Higher Education Research Chair Launched

​H.R.H. Prince Meshal bin Saud bin Abdulaziz, Member of Saudi Allegiance Institution, in presence of Dr. Fawzan Abdul-Rahman Al-Fawzan, Acting Rector of Al-Imam Muhammad Ibn Saud Islamic University, has patronised on the last Thursday the founding session of “King Saud Research Chair for Saudi Higher Education Studies”.

In coincidence with launching ceremony, H.R.H. Prince Meshal has expressed about his happiness to attend and financing the research chair that bears the name of the architect of the modern Saudi state. He extended his appreciation to all dignitaries of the university and the research chair for their staunch efforts to bring success to the chair.

Speaking to the audience, the university Acting Rector has clarified that, the chair is one the main research platforms inside the university for two key reasons; the first is for the personality of King Saud itself, whom encouraged higher education in Saudi Arabian Kingdom. The other reason is the core of the chair itself, as it focusing on the higher education progress and development. 

From his side, Prof. Dr. Fahd Al-Asker, Vice-Rector for Higher Studies and Academic Research, has said that, the chair comes memorialising great King Saud and his key roles and tasks carried out by him. “The research chair  its importance emerging from the field focused by, i.e. higher education, which has seen major breakthroughs in various aspects that passed by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia since the founding era of founder king until the era of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz”, added he.

From his side, Prof. Dr. Abdul-Mohsen Al-Sumaih, Principal of the Research Chair, has clear that, Al-Imam University has paid due care to the works and business of the chair, that’s why a consultant academic committee has formed. He, in his words, also has briefed the audience carefully about the mission and vision and plans of the research chair.
