On the last Sunday morning, Prince Turki bin Abdulaziz bin Turki Al Saud has gained an honour PhD degree from Supreme Institute of Jurisdiction, attributed to Al-Imam Muhammad Ibn Saud Islamic University.
Prince Truki’s thesis, which was entitled “Power of Muslim Governor Regarding the Three Powers (Legislature, Executive, and Judicial) in Light of Political Legitimacy”, has discussed by H.E. Prof. Dr. Suliman Aba Al-Khail, Rector of Al-Imam Muhammad Ibn Saud Islamic University, as an academic supervisor and Dr. Bandar Al-Suailam and Dr. Aqeel Al Aqeel as members.
In the abstract of the thesis, Prince Turki has clarified that the fundamental aspect of the state is the power of the Muslim Governor. As well, he identified the sharia and legal role of the Muslim Governor and his powers’ limits, in addition to the legislature situation of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its basic law, which relying on the Glorious Quran and the teachings of Prophet Muhammad “PBUH”.
Prince Turki has furthered that; the Muslim Governor shall have the right to regulate, from time to time, legal procedures, which facilitates the litigation right for all disputers and then the equality of all citizens in respect of the rule of law.
