 Discussion Panel on Saudi Efforts in Narcotic Drugs Control Arranged

​On the recent last Wednesday, Saudi Centre for Narcotic Drugs Control and Psychotropic Substances Studies "Haseen", attributed to ​Imam Mohammad Ibn Saud Islamic University, has arranged on the advent of "World Day to Combat Drugs" a discussion panel entitled "Efforts of Saudi Arabia in Narcotic Drugs Control" in tandem with Saudi National Committee for Narcotics Control "NCNC". 

The panel, which was hold at the rounding hall of the Conferences Building, came under the directives of H.E. Prof. Dr. Ahmad Al-Ameri, Rector of Imam Mohammad Ibn Saud Islamic University, and the follow-up of Dr. Mahmoud Suliman Al Mahmoud, Vice-Rector for Higher Studies and Academic Research.

Inaugurating the panel, Dr. Ibrahim Az-Zebin, Dean of Haseen Centre, has reaffirmed the university's willingness to realize the aspirations of Saudi Leaderships to participate in such international advents that matters with the great efforts been exerted by Saudi Arabian Kingdom in narcotic drug control. He noted, likewise, to the role of Haseen Centre in participating and contributing in the studies and researches of drug control. 

On the discussion panel, which has consisted of two sessions and being participated by nearly four entities, a number of key persons were spoke to the audience and participants. Dr. Suliman Al-Lehidan, from Saudi National Committee for Narcotics Control, has spoken about the role of Saudi Arabia in coordinating with international organizations in combating drugs. Mr. Fahd Al-Rajeh, General-Secretary of National Committee of Prisoners Care and Their Families, and Dr. Essa Al Hamoud, Secretary-General of Permanent Committee of Drugs Control of Ministry of Education, Mr. Fawzi Zaki, Security Advisor of Saudi Customs Authority, were all participated actively at the first session of the panel. 

The second session of the panel was witnessed the participation of a number of stakeholders including Prof. Dr. Naif Al-Subhi, Head of Mental Health and Social Service Administration – Saudi Ministry of Health, and Dr. Mohammad Saleh Al-Qambaz, Head of Saudi Anti-Doping Committee, and Dr. Abshan Al-Abshan, From Al-Amal Complex for Mental Health. Additionally, Colonel Dr. Mohammad Al-Shemri, Head of Planning and Educational Programs Administration – King Fahd Security College, and Dr. Abdullah Al-Wayeli, Member of Preventive Awareness Youth Association, and Brigadier General Fawaz Al-Anzy from Royal Saudi Naval Forces, and Mr. Faisal Al-Motw'a, form Ishraqa Program. At the end of the second session Captain Abdulaziz Al-Harbi, From Saudi General Directorate for Drug Control, has spoken about the role played by his administration in drug control.
