Prof. Dr. Suliman Aba Al-Khail, Rector of Imam Mohammad Ibn Saud Islamic University, and Member of Saudi Senior Ulemas Council, has praised recently the efforts and contributions of King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, in serving Sunnah. This has come while H.E. the University Rector participated in a symposium entitled "Sunnah: Its Origins, Standing and Impact on Unifying Ummah – Project of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques in Serving Sunnah as a Module" arranged by the university in tandem with Ministry of Royal Guards at the university premises.
In terms of his words before the audience, H.E. the University Rector has expressed about his happiness to share successes while participating in the agenda events of the 32nd National Festival for Heritage and Culture at Al-Janadriyah, which receiving due care from King Salman bin Abdulaziz and H.R.H. Prince Mohammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince.
He added that, Sunnah is the second source of Islamic legislation, which is the proper and honorable approach that must be mentioned and raised. It complements Islam, where it actually including statement of judgments, contemporary issues and pillars that Allah Almighty and Prophet Mohammad, Peace and Blessings Be Upon Him called upon it. If someone want to make up the volumes, manuscripts, hold seminars and do lectures and conferences he came up with a few and a tip of icebergs that we all have to do with the traditions of our Prophet Muhammad "PBUH". Sunnah has a great place in Islam, as Allah Almighty says "Say, [O Mohammad], "If you should love Allah, then follow me, [so] Allah will love you".
Acknowledging the establishment of Custodian of Two Holy Mosques Complex for Sunnah, Dr. Aba Al-Khail has stated that, history will memorizing this work and be dominating it by gold as it came at a time when we need to take out the Sunnah pillars and implant its principles and emphasize all its good as the entire world needs it. Especially at this time when there are many skeptics and seditioners, the need to emphasize the origins of Islam and its branches growing bigger than ever, as all of that is included in Quran, Sunnah and the biography of Prophet Mohammad "PBUH".
From other side, Sheikh Saad Al-Shethry, Advisor at Royal Court and Member of Saudi Senior Ulemas Council, has enlightened the audience about the efforts of Government of King Salman, since it was founding, in serving Sunnah, as the Basic Law of Governance states in Article "1" that "Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is a fully sovereign Arab Islamic State. Its religion shall be Islam and its constitution shall be the Book of God and the Sunnah (Traditions) of His Messenger, may God's blessings and peace be upon him (PBUH). Its language shall be Arabic and its capital shall be the city of Riyadh".
In a similar vein, Sheikh Mohammad Al Sheikh, Head of Scientific Council of Custodian of Two Holy Mosques Complex for Sunnah and Member of Saudi Senior Ulemas Council has clarified the need of the Islamic world to be unifying and adhering the approach of moderation and follow the footsteps of Prophet Mohammad "PBUH", as it approach of life for individuals and people, and as Muslim imams have agreed that, Sunnah is the second source of legislation in Islam.
It is noteworthy that, the symposium was attended by Sheikh Mohammad Al Sheikh, Head of Scientific Council of Custodian of Two Holy Mosques Complex for Sunnah and Member of Saudi Senior Ulemas Council, and Sheikh Dr. Saad Al-Shethry, Advisor at Royal Court and Member of Saudi Senior Ulemas Council.
