​Al-Imam Mohammad Ibn Saud Islamic University, representing by its College of Computer Sciences and Information, has received approval from Saudi Ministry of Civil Service for accrediting Diploma of Computer Sciences "Applied Programming", announced that H.E. Sheikh Prof. Dr. Suliman Aba Al-Khail, Rector of Al-Imam Mohammad Ibn Saud Islamic University and Member of Saudi Senior Ulemas Council, in statements recently.  

Shedding more lights on the event, H.E. the University Rector has pressed that, the Applied Programming Diploma is the first-ever specialized diploma in Saudi Arabia in this field, and will be offering by the university College of Computer Sciences and Information "CCSI". It comes in line with the university and CCSI efforts to realize Saudi Vision 2030, specifically "Provide citizens with knowledge and skills to meet the future needs of the labor market", added he.

In furthermore, Dr. Aba Al-Khail has stated that, the diploma aims to highly qualify graduates with competence and ability to work in the fields of programming, operating systems and programming various computer databases. The graduate will be equipped with theoretical knowledge and practical training to perform the required work tasks in the public and private sectors, and to contribute to the great renaissance witnessing by our country.

In a similar vein, Dr. Waleed Al-Rodhan, Dean of CCSI, has clarified that, the approved diploma consists of four academic terms, designated to include theoretical and practical syllabuses to provide students with the necessary skills and knowledge to design and programming computer systems in the public and private sectors. As well, giving graduates academic skills and technical experience required to deal in computer science various areas, and sharpening their skills with the latest technologies enabling them to engage in work energetically and smoothly after finishing the program.

Concluded his words, Dr. Al-Rodhan has noted that, the graduates of the program could joining the public or private sectors in specialized jobs, which have a large demand in the labour market, such as Assistant Developer, Assistant Trainer, Technical Support Officer, PC Laboratory Technician and other related-computer careers.
