 Imam University Rector Inks MoU with EMC²

​On the last Wednesday morning, H.E. Prof. Dr. Suliman Aba Al-Khail, Rector of Imam Muhammad Ibn Saud Islamic University, has signed a memorandum of understanding document with EMC Corporation, an American multinational corporation offers data storage, information security, virtualization, analytics and cloud computing.


Praised the step, H.E. the university rector has considered the signature as a leading opportunity for the university to interact with, and he deemed as an adherence to eGovernance concept, which often supports and encourages by King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, the Custodian of the Holy Mosques, and by Crown Prince H.R.H. Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz and by Deputy Crown Prince Muqrin bin Abdulaziz. "Signed MoU will help Imam University penetrating more knowledge and technology frontiers thru having EMC² academic alliance courseware, and then leveraging researches and studies' activities", pointed out he.


In similar vein, Dr. Muhammad Said Al-Alam, Vice-Rector for Knowledge Exchange and International Communication, has praised the signed MoU and considered it as a good opportunity for holding IT professional training courses inside the university. He, as well, passed his appreciation to H.E. the university rector for backing this giant step, which will definitely be in side of the faculty members, employees and students of the university.


Commended the signature step, Dr. Waleed Al-Jandal, Dean of Imam University Deanship of Information Technology, clarified that, the inked MoU will unquestionably serve the university and ranking it as a leading higher education institution that copes with every new details in IT field. "Signed MoU would be benefiting by almost all members of the university and it will impacting on its deliverables to the marketplace", stated he.


From his side, Mohamed Talaat, General Manager for EMC Egypt, Libya and Saudi Arabia, pointed that, the relationship between Imam Muhammad Ibn Saud Islamic University and his corporation was old and it considered as a sample for all Saudi counterparts. "Singed MoU is actually part of our communal responsibility to help higher education students to be more qualified in the labor market and to be diligence to learn what's new in this area", added he.
