From Imam Muhammad ibn Saud Islamic University, where minds are shaped and ambitions are nurtured, Dr. Abdullah bin Taleh Al-Askar's journey began, embodying a shining example of a young Saudi man who combines knowledge, leadership, and global influence. This launch was not a coincidence, but rather the fruit of a rigorous university environment that contributed to building his academic character, developing his leadership skills, and strengthening his awareness of his national and humanitarian mission.
He began his professional journey as a physician during his internship, placing serving humanity at the forefront of his priorities. He then expanded his impact to lead development work as the CEO of Programs at the Akwaf Association, contributing to the design of impactful initiatives focused on empowering youth and enhancing their role in society.
In the field of leadership development, he was among the elite participants in the “Misk Leaders – Global Voices” program of the Mohammed bin Salman Misk Foundation, in addition to the program for qualifying young leaders for global communication, where he honed his skills in international dialogue and representing national issues on global platforms.
The university played a pivotal role in this journey; It provided him with a stimulating learning environment and high-quality skills-building programs, along with opportunities to participate in extracurricular activities and foster a culture of initiative and innovation. Furthermore, it offered ongoing support to its students and graduates in empowerment and job market preparation, reflecting its vision of developing a national workforce capable of competing globally.
This journey culminated in his nomination and support by the Salam Project for Civilizational Communication, under the auspices of the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development, to participate in the Youth Forum of the United Nations Economic and Social Council, held at the United Nations headquarters in New York City.
At this prestigious international forum, Dr. Abdullah represented the voice of the nation, delivering a speech addressing youth issues in the Kingdom and their achievements related to the Sustainable Development Goals, reflecting the image of an ambitious Saudi generation capable of influencing and contributing to shaping the future. It is the story of a graduate of Imam University who was not content with local excellence, but raised his voice to the global level, confirming that the university’s outputs extend their impact to international platforms, and that Saudi youth - when empowered scientifically and supported institutionally - become an active partner in achieving sustainable development and shaping the features of tomorrow.
