is part of the university’s efforts to offer diverse programs in humanities and social sciences, specifically within the interests of the College of Social Sciences, which includes departments such as Geography, History, and Civilization.

The planetarium aims to promote scientific literacy and connect students and visitors with the legacy of scientific achievements in Islamic civilization.

• Location: Situated within the facilities of the Museum of the History of Arabic and Islamic Sciences at the university, operating as a fully equipped independent hall.
• Activities and Shows:
  • Presenting visual shows (documentaries) exploring space travel and the outer universe.
  • Providing detailed explanations of star types, planets, and solar systems.
  • Hosting school visits and university student tours to introduce rich astronomical content and enhance scientific knowledge.

Visiting Hours:

The Museum and Planetarium are open during official working days as follows:

• Sunday to Thursday: 7:30 AM – 2:30 PM.
• Friday and Saturday: Closed.
